The term "SOS support" can sound like it means something different than it does, so it's worth being clear about it upfront.

SOS support is additional guidance available between your scheduled sessions, for moments when something comes up and you're not sure what to do next. Maybe a new symptom appeared, a medication question came up, or you just need a second perspective before your next appointment.

It is important to be clear about what this is not: SOS support is not an emergency medical service, and it does not replace calling 911 or reaching out to your physician for anything urgent or serious. It's meant for the in-between moments, the kind of question that doesn't need an ER visit but also doesn't feel like it can wait weeks for your next scheduled session.

Think of it as a safety net for uncertainty, not a substitute for emergency or medical care. Knowing that kind of support exists between appointments can make managing an ongoing condition feel considerably less isolating.
